Idiots of the Week

AND THE WINNERS ARE:

The winner of this week's Idiot Award is the genius who decided to rename New York City's Triborough Bridge in honor Robert F. Kennedy. For those of you under 35 and/or recent graduates of government schools who don't see the irony in naming a bridge after a Kennedy, just google 'Chappaquidick'.

In a close second we have the student counselors at Ottawa's Carlton University. These yahoos voted to cancel a cystic fibrosis fundraiser because the disease “has been recently revealed to only affect white people, and primarily men”. Apparently the disease wasn't 'inclusive' enough. Translation: Your life isn't worth anything unless you're a member of a politically correct victim group. Here's hoping these kids don't pro-create.

RUNNER-UP:

The 'sanitation experts' who marked World Toilet Day by calling for the end of the flush toilet in order to save water and provide fertilizer for crops. I kid you not.

HONORABLE MENTION:

Politically correct NHS bosses in Birmingham, England are battling to ban a smoking room for terminally ill patients – forcing them to be turfed out into the cold to enjoy their final cigarettes.

Millionaire and NBA superstar Gilbert Arenas decided to show his support for President-elect Barack Obama by getting a political tattoo on his left hand. Ain't it cute?

He's not alone...A brothel in Europe offered free entry to anyone who had the brothel's name tattooed on their arm. To date, 40 idiots have taken them up on their offer.

A woman is divorcing her husband after he told her it was an "iPhone glitch" that sent pictures of his genitals to another woman. Inquiring minds want to know if he plans to sue.

A group of idiots has started a petition to get pole dancing into the Olympic games.

MOST STUPID CRIMINALS:

You might wonder what this picture depicts... Its an ATM machine with an idiot under it. A thief pried an ATM loose from a Leavenworth credit union by using a stolen skid loader. Then — in an alleged effort to bust open the boosted ATM — the 49-year-old idiot decided to use the skid loader to drop the machine down a 50-foot wooded embankment. “It makes it easier when you let go of it. That way you don’t go with it,” said Leavenworth Police Chief Patrick Kitchens.

A 21-year-old man was accused of driving drunk and leading police on a chase that finally ended with him running over himself.

A pair of 17-year-olds allegedly try to rob armed off-duty Dona Ana deputy at knife point in Las Cruses. Oops!

Last, but not least, we have a police chief in Southwestern Ohio. As he was giving his daughter a lesson in gun safety, he accidentally shot himself in his thigh. Moral of the story: make sure gun is unloaded before giving lessons.

MOST IDIOTIC STATEMENTS:

The chairman of the British Lap Dancing Association, speaking at a legislative hearing Tuesday, made an odd assertion, given his livelihood — a lap dance is "not sexually stimulating".

A lawyer representing a man arrested in Fairfield for drunken driving says the state’s breathalyzers discriminate against black people. Racist machines?

MOST IDIOTIC STATEMENTS BY ELECTED OFFICIALS:

While arguing in favor of legislation requiring that anyone report a lost or stolen firearm report that within 24 hours or potentially face a $500 fine, Pittsburgh Councilwoman Tonya Payne said, "Who really cares about it being constitutional?"

Tonya is joined by U.S. Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.) who, with a straight face, praised the idea of wealth redistribution and maligned the idea that people who create wealth should be entitled to keep it. Can you spell socialism?

Anyone can be stupid but it takes real effort to be an idiot. Feel free to send in contenders for next week's Idiot Awards. Meanwhile, keep smiling.

Idiots of the Week

Statue-tory Rape?

And The Winner Is:

In a historic first, the winner of this week's Top Idiot Award is an animal. In a clear case of statue-tory rape, this moose obviously confused life and art. He got away with this indiscretion after issuing a public apology and agreeing to attend sensitivity training. Personally, I think he got off easy because he was a FOB. (friend of Bill:)

Runner-Up:

13 year-old German schoolboy, Dennis Bueller comes in a close second. He learned the hard way that one should never play with a cigarette ligher on the toilet - especially after spraying the room with air freshener.

Honorable Mention:

A husband and wife had a suicide pact. The husband backed out. His wife didn't. Her body was then left hanging in their house for eight weeks. I guess he just got used to her hanging around.

Two drunk drivers crashed into each other. Who says there's no justice?

PETA makes our list once again. They're planning to stage a nude protest to discourage locals from attending an upcoming Ringling Brothers Circus show at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center. Hey, it would discourage me...

Caution: Idiots are not just stupid - they're dangerous too. A father was drinking double shots of vodka while cleaning his gun. Oops, he accidentaly shot to death his 6 year-old daughter.

Most Idiotic Statements:

Chris Matthews on Obama: "You can't make fun of this guy. He's clean as a whistle"

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenneger actually blamed California's wildfires on global warming. Huh?

NBC's Meredith Viera helped kick off Green Week by stating that "oceans could rise by 200 feet."

Fox News anchor Shepard Smith actually called suggestions of bias towards Obama in the mainstream media "preposterous". Ah, Shep...

Group Idiots:

First place, hands down, goes to the idiotic bureaucrats in Attleboro, Mass. In a letter they paid 42 cents to mail, city officials warned they'll place a lien on a blind 74-year-old's house unless she coughs up a penny by Dec. 10. Aargh.

Tied for first place are these 12 Obama voters. They actually allowed themselves to be videotaped after the election. Their scary, absolute ignorance of our political system is now captured for all eternity.

In a close second are the 7 out of 10 people who actually believe Obama can fix the economy.

Honorable Mention:

More bureaucrats, this time in England: School bureaucrats decided that children as young as five will now have the legal right to tell teachers how they should be taught and disciplined for bad behavior.

Speaking of schools: School officials in a tiny Vermont elementary school win honorable mention. They have blocked the pledge of allegiance from classrooms amid concerns that it holds nonparticipating children up to scorn.

So many idiots, so little space.

Idiot of the Week Awards: Winners, October 5 2008 Edition

Your Ad Here

Top Idiots Of The Week Awards
Week of October 5 2008

Right Bias.com

We have a clear winner in this week's awards. By far, the biggest idiot of the week has to be:

1. Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney, who was caught on video accusing the U.S. Department of Defense of executing 5,000 prisoners Chinese-style and dumping their bodies in a Louisiana swamp. Maybe she's just off her meds.

2. Second place has to go to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. She gave a five minute speech tearing into Republicans right before a crucial vote on the government bailout bill, where, it turns out, she could have used their votes. She lost. Moral of the story: Don't gloat before you vote.

3. Third place goes to Harvard University. They held a ceremony Thursday awarding researchers for studying fertility of exotic dancers, plant dignity, enhanced potato chip crunch, flea jumping abilities and spermicidal uses for Coca-Cola. I wonder what jobs are available with those kind of qualifications.

HONORABLE MENTION:

* Rep. Barney Frank makes this week's list for going on the O'Reilly Factor to defend the indefensible. He got a very public spanking. We can't figure out if it was idiocy or just plain old hubris.

* A Colorado teen hired men to kill his mother so he could use her money to get breast implants for his girlfriend.

* This poor idiot shot himself after being denied sex by his girlfriend. He was charged with threatening violence and firing a weapon in an occupied dwelling. He is being held on $100,000 bail.

* An amateur chef died the day after eating a "superhot" chilli in a bet with his friend over who could make the hottest dish.

* Luke Schreder thought a police officer looked like he just "needed a hug" so he ran up to him and stuck out his arms. He was arrested for assault on a peace officer, public intoxication and interference with official acts. When he gets out, he should consider going into politics.

* Two armed robbers hijacked a security van with $1.3 million inside but were forced to abandon more than half the cash because their small getaway car could not carry it all.

ECO-IDIOTS:

1. First place goes to authors of a new report which states: 'People will have to be rationed to four modest portions of meat and one litre of milk a week if the world is to avoid runaway climate change.'

2. Second place winner is a fellow who believes this junk. For the past nine months, Dave Chameides has been filling his basement with every single thing he would ordinarily recycle or toss into the trash. He's doing this in order to reduce his carbon footprint and save the world. I know I'll be sleeping easier tonight.

3. Polar bears will also be able to sleep easier thanks to the brave scientists in California who are actually testing the hearing of polar bears to try to find out whether the noises associated with melting Arctic ice could affect their ability to survive.

HONORABLE MENTION:

How could we have eco-idiots awards without mentioning Father Earth algore? Al Gore said in San Jose on Saturday that the climate crisis deserves the same type of attention and money from Washington that the financial meltdown is getting. The scary thing is, this man almost became president. Whoa baby!

From the Just Plain Nasty files:

Hustler founder, Larry Flynt has made an X-rated movie using an adult-film actress who is a dead ringer for Sarah Palin.

In an effort to leave you with a little hope for the future, we feel we should mention the following:

Alan Fishman, named CEO of Washington Mutual just 18 days before federal regulators seized it, will not accept a multimillion-dollar severance payment even if he is entitled to it, a spokesman representing him said Wednesday. Some would consider him an idiot. We don't.

Culture Watch: Mobile Carbon Footprint Service, Brit White Flight, Obama Catwalk Fashion

What's Your Carbon Footprint?
Who Cares?

As the presidential election heats up, Obama maintains a 5 point lead against McCain. This, despite new revelations about improper foreign money flowing into the Obama campaign.

The drive-by media is doing its part to foster Obamania, and so is Paris, where Obama fashions were featured on the catwalks.

A new Obama video is making the rounds. It features young children in lockstep, singing the praise of Dear Obama. When comparisons were made to North Korea and Hitler's Germany, YouTube yanked the video. Now comes another chilling Obama 'Youth Video', this time with teens in uniforms, marching and proclaiming that "because of Obama" they will achieve various accomplishments.

You Tube also yanked a video which outlined in very simple terms the fact that the Democrats are largely responsible for the financial crisis which dominated the headlines last week. More info in this week's article, 'Dangerous Videos'.

GOOD NEWS:

It did this conservative's heart good to see Barney Frank get a good spanking when he appeared on the O'Reilly Factor. That was the first time he has been held to account. Hopefully, not the last.

The GOP is finally taking off the gloves, as evidenced by their new commercial wherein they target Dems for obstructing reforms that could have prevented last week's financial meltdown.

It appears most Americans aren't being taken in by cheap soundbites and soaring rhetoric. 74% of American adults have no confidence that our nation's policy makers know what they're doing.

A new survey shows that 59% of voters agree with Reagan's statement, "Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem." And Rasmussen reports that if they could vote to keep or replace the entire Congress, 59% of voters would like to throw them all out and start over again.

On the immigration front, more than 1,000 illegals who ignored deportation orders or returned to the US after being deported were arrested in a California immigration sweep.

Arrests of illegals along the border fell for the second year in a row. And money sent back to Mexico from Mexicans living in the US dropped by 12%, the largest drop on record since the Bank of Mexico began tracking.

Meanwhile, in Iraq, U.S. forces said they shot dead the leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq. Progress continues, even if not reported by the old media.

CULTURE:

A US space company has become the first private venture to successfully blast a rocket into earth's orbit. No government money was needed.

New software for mobile phones can now estimate a person's carbon footprint

The Citizen and Immigration Service has re-designed the citizenship test for immigrants who want to become Americans. Can you pass it without cheating? Apparently cheating has become so commonplace that kids now post proven cheating methods on YouTube.

The top member of the Nobel Award jury believes the US is too insular and ignorant to compete with Europe when it comes to writing. This, from the jury that awarded algore a Nobel peace prize. I'm smiling.

Speaking of great writing, the front page of Amazon.com shows that conservative books are outselling liberal books by a wide margin. No wonder liberals don't like free markets.

Across the pond, another effort by the government to socially engineer behavior took effect Wednesday. Smokers in the UK will now be confronted with gruesome images whenever they buy a pack of cigarettes.

The UK is experiencing white flight as 75,000 white British men and women are leaving the country every year. Britain's population is still rising, however, because of an influx of ethnic minorities. Has England been conquered from within?

GENDER AND FAMILY:

A judge has ruled in favor of a woman who sought parental rights to a boy and girl adopted by her former same-sex partner, a decision described as a first for Montana.

A new estimate by the CDC places the number of Americans infected with the AIDS virus at 1.1 million. US immigration officials announced moves to ease and speed up visa-processing for HIV-positive visitors to the US.
They held the world's biggest celebration of leather, bondage and sexual fetish in San Francisco last Sunday.

The culture wars may appear to have been lost but at least conservatives had one small victory. The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled that sex with dead bodies is banned. It was a 5 - 2 decision. Sigh.

Oh, and in Iowa, the state's attorney general asked the Iowa Supreme Court to review a judge's ruling that nude dancing is a legal art form.

ESSENTIAL TRIVIA:

In the frenzy to come up with something new and different one designer has created a line of jewellery which is intended to be worn on the eye.

Faith in God can really relieve pain, according to the results of a bizarre scientific experiment. And Manuel Aribe, the world's fattest man in the 2007 Guiness Book of Records, said that he is getting married next month, after losing half of his original weight. Whoa..

IDIOT OF THE WEEK:

We have a clear winner in this week's awards. By far, the biggest idiot of the week has to be:

Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney, who was caught on video accusing the U.S. Department of Defense of executing 5,000 prisoners Chinese-style and dumping their bodies in a Louisiana swamp. Maybe she's just off her meds.

Sarah Palin, GOP: Back in the RIng, Fighting Back

Culture Watch vol. 31
Nancy Morgan
Right Bias.com

The GOP has roared back to life with McCain's nomination of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his VP choice, with the GOP Convention the most watched convention in television history.

ELECTION '08:

Non-stop smears, internet rumors, editorials and commentary make Palin the new punching bag. Surprise - she's punching back, with a smile. Myths are being debunked, and smears are being answered. I expand on this in 'Liberal Meltdown.'

Media is experiencing backlash as over 51% of U.S. voters think the media is trying to harm Sarah Palin. Ya think? Hundreds of angry people in a small town outside Milwaukee taunted reporters and TV crews traveling with Sen. John McCain on Friday, chanting "Be fair!"

Meanwhile, polls show Palin is more popular than both McCain and Obama. Obama can take heart, though. They love him in Iran. Iranian TV is lavishing praise on him, stating that his election "would improve the situation in America." Maybe for Iran.

Lost in the shuffle is new evidence that Obama was closely associated as early as age 25 to a key advisor to a Saudi billionaire who mentored the founding members of the Black Panthers. Hmmm... meanwhile, Obama has received his first intelligence briefing. Why does this worry me?

A whopping 71% of Obama supporters feel the Constitution shouldn't be upheld and VP nominee Biden stated that an Obama administration might just pursue criminal charges against Bush.

For anyone considering voting for Obama, just check out this video clip of him performing without a teleprompter. Truly frightening.

GOOD NEWS:

Exhibiting a firm grasp of the obvious, Obama finally admitted that the surge was successful.

The Commerce Department reports that productivity jumped 4.3%, a full percentage higher than economists expected. During August, the number of people identifying themselves as Republicans increased 2 percentage points to 33.2%.

Gen. David Petraeus said declining violence in Iraq has raised the possibility that American combat troops could start leaving by next summer. Can you spell 'Mission Accomplished?'

In other historic, overlooked news, Condoleeza Rice met with Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi of Libya, sealing the resumption of ties between the U.S. and a country we once branded as a terrorist outcast. Remember Libya? They're the ones that laid down their arms and started acting halfway civilized right after we went into Iraq. Could there be something to this 'peace through strength' stuff?

CULTURE:

The ACLU is continuing their ongoing fight against the Boy Scouts of America. Plans by the University of Chicago to establish a research institute named after free-market economist Milton Friedman are being met with a protest. 100 tenured faculty signed a petition opposing this privately funded tribute to one of the greatest intellectuals of our time. A classic case of being educated beyond ones' intelligence.

Vanity Fair has named Russian strongman Putin as their most influential and powerful person and a new Russian teaching manual claims that mass murderer Stalin acted 'entirely rationally' in executing and imprisoning millions of people. Also in Russia, for the first time in history, over 100 youngsters stand to inherit more than $1 billion from the country's burgeoning ranks of oligarch. Think Paris Hilton times 10. Those figures could change, as capital has been fleeing Russia ever since they invaded Georgia. So far, $19 billion has left the country.

A British couple is on trial in Dubai for having sex on a public beach. I guess they were under the illusion that all cultures are equal. Scientists have found what they call a 'monogamy gene.' Guess what Boy Clinton is getting for Xmas?

A Florida man was busted by police for violating an ordinance against low-slung pants. No cracks, please.

Jenny, the oldest gorilla in captivity dies in Dallas Zoo at age 55
Australia is in the grip of a 'man drought' where women increasingly outnumber men. An elephant at the Ueno Zoo in Tokyo managed to score 87% on a math test. That's better than most students in our government schools. Think about it.

An estimated 123 people were shot and killed in Chicago over the summer. That's nearly double the number of soldiers killed in Iraq during the same period.

Our military halted the Pakistan offensive for Ramadan and Chavez's Citgo will be granted 250,000 barrels of oil from our Strategic Petroleum Reserve because of Venezuela's inability to secure crude in the aftermath of Hurricane Gustav. Is the US a great country, or what!
IDIOT OF THE WEEK:
This week's winner is Michael Lasiter, 33. He tried to cut off his own arm in a Denny's restaurant in California after becoming convinced that he had injected an air bubble into his veins, along with the crack.

Honorable mention has to go to this Code Pink anarchist at the GOP convention. Check him out doing the taser dance.

ON THE LIGHT SIDE:

In order to keep you smiling, I include this cute video of Piper Palin giving brother Trig a spit bath.
In order to keep you energized, I include this video of an 11 year-old girl field stripping an AR-15 in 15-seconds flat. She sent the video to the cutest boy in 6th grade with a note asking "Do you like me?" Priceless.

Sarah Palin, Barack Obama: Feminism, Racism, the MSM

Obama, Palin's Nomination:
Losing Clout - Feminism, Racism, the Mainstream Media

Liberal Meltdown
Nancy Morgan
RightBias.com
September 8, 2008

In a delicious stroke of cosmic justice, it seems that the left, not the earth, is in meltdown stage. The sacred pillars of liberal orthodoxy are in the process of losing their underpinnings and it is not a pretty sight.

With the nomination of Barack and Sarah, three major industries and shibboleths of the left, feminism, racism and the media are losing their clout, big time.

The feminists who have preached against the 'social construct' of male patriarchy and female victimhood have achieved their stated goal, and they're furious. After 40 years, the feminist mantra that a woman can and should have it all, has come to fruition in Sarah Palin.

There's only one small problem. Palin doesn't buy into the feminist line. As Peggy Noonan so aptly put it, "she is a feminist not in the Yale Gender Studies sense but the How Do I Reload This Thang way." When feminists see Sarah Palin, they see a woman. When conservatives see Palin, they see a conservative. Who'se sexist?

Feminists are furiously backtracking on one of their core tenets, questioning whether Sarah Palin has the ability to juggle home and job. Instead of applauding a woman who has it all, they instead question whether she will have time to be VP, what with her family and all. Liberal feminist Whoopi Goldberg got it right when she described Sarah Palin as "a dangerous woman."

The Jacksons and Sharptons of the world who have spent their lives preaching racism are also in melt down stage. With the nomination of Obama, racism is in the process of becoming a hard sell, even the silent 'institutional racism' that has been in vogue these last few years. How will the race hustlers raise funds without genuine victims? How will blacks retain their hard won political power, which is based largely on white guilt? Who will pay for black oppression if there isn't any?

The presidential race of 2008 will go down in history as a turning point - as the pivotal event that exposed the shallowness of liberal policies, institutions and people. A mere 5 months ago, the liberals were on the brink of victory. And now...

Now, it appears that not only are the masses not buying what the left is selling, but have instead shown their stubborn allegiance to traditional values and God, as embodied so well by Gov. Palin. This, despite the herculean efforts by another liberal institution, the media.

The same media, which a study showed to have been the decisive factor in Obama's nomination, is now having to report that Palin is more popular than both McCain and Obama.

Unable to believe they've been on the wrong side of history, the media is lashing out in ever more frivolous and blatant attempts to smear Gov. Palin and prop up Obama. Only this time, they're encountering a backlash.

US Weekly Magazine is losing subscribers due to the vicious smear piece recently published about Palin. A new website has even been launched to organize a boycott of US Weekly and their advertisers. Adding insult to injury, Rasmussen reported a whopping 51% of American women believe the media is trying to hurt Sarah Palin and 24% say those stories make them more likely to vote for McCain.

More surprisingly, hundreds of small town residents in a small town outside Milwaukee "taunted reporters and TV crews travelling with Sen. John McCain on Friday, chanting "Be fair!" and pointing fingers at a pack of journalists as they booed loudly." Even Oprah is experiencing a backlash for refusing to have Palin on her show until after the election.

The media, like the rest of the liberal world, can't comprehend what is happening. The conservative, traditional worldview they thought they had thoroughly invalidated is rearing its ugly head and they can't understand, much less control, it.

Obama's nomination goes a long way towards discrediting the racism canard. And Gov. Sarah Palin shows that the American dream is available without help from either government or the self-anointed elites. She shows that faith in God is more powerful than faith in man. She shows that sexism and racism are indeed constructs, but artificial constructs designed not by old white men, but by liberal utopians - designed to achieve money and power, not liberation.

The times, they are a changin', but not in the way the left envisioned. The rules are changing as we speak. Because the liberal elites have consistently shown they are incapable of adjusting their world-views to include conservatives, I predict this will be the death of them.

I'm smiling.

American Flags in DNC Trash, Sarah Palin and Culture

Culture Watch

Right Bias.com
September 1, 2008

For anyone not sure of the difference between liberals and conservatives, last week provided a priceless example. On the eve of Obama's coronation acceptance speech, the McCain camp released a lovely commercial of congratulations and considerately kept their much awaited VP choice under wraps so Obama could have his moment. Well done, McCain.

Last week, as usual, was filled with news of the Messiah. The Dems held their convention and anointed Obama their pick for president. The convention was long on visuals and short on details. Hillary pretended to be gracious, Obama pretended to be humble, and the media pretended to believe them. A good time was had by all.

After 18 long, predictable months of political maneuvering, hot air and empty rhetoric, the eternal presidential race finally got real. Her name is Sarah Palin. The difference between Sarah and Hillary is profound. (See: Hillary Vs Sarah) The left and the media are already accusing her of faking her last pregnancy. Lovely.

Regarding pregnancies, Gov. Palin and her husband just released a written statement stating that her 17 year-old daughter is pregnant.

American flags end up in the trash after Dem convention

The Dem's 'greenest convention in history' finally wrapped up. Idling SUVs and Lear jets have departed but the trash remains. Dems showed they are unaware of the proper etiquette for disposing of flags as all US flags ended up in the trashbin. For more of the same, just elect Obama.

Meanwhile, Democrats are crying crocodile tears as Hurricane Gustav forces the GOP to postpone their convention.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED:

What happens if we win a war and nobody reports it? That's the question as our media continue to ignore the historic accomplishments our fighting men in Iraq. Gen. Petraeus has submitted his initial recommendation on when to withdraw troops and at what pace, and just today, the US military handed over Anbar Province to Iraqi control. Remember Anbar? The [formerly] most violent arena of the war.

Meanwhile, Iraq's tourism board is looking for investors to develop a romantic island in the heart of Baghdad as Baghdad's 'Honeymoon Isle' and the city of Najaf is experiencing a boom in land prices and new businesses. The new airport hasn't hurt.

MORE GOOD NEWS:

Right in the middle of the Democrat convention came the news that US GDP grew by 3.3% in the second quarter, far surpassing the initial estimate of 1.9% released last week. Translation: We're no where near a recession.

Hundreds of applicants lined up to take 'those jobs Americans won't do' after ICE raided a plant in Jones County and succeeded in creating a few job openings.

The Bible will be required to be taught in Texas schools under a new law that has been clarified by the state attorney general to mean exactly what it says. Israel is getting ready to make the Dead Sea Scrolls available on the internet.

CULTURE:

The Mexican Supreme Court has upheld legal abortion. In the UK, crisis pregnancy centers, as well as doctors and midwives may be subject to prosecution and a two year jail sentence if they convince a woman to forego an abortion. Also in the UK: 'environmental volunteers' will be encouraged to spy on their neighbors and families. Amazing what one can get away with under the slogan of protecting Mother Earth.

Deaths are expected to outnumber births in the EU as soon as 2015, when migration will be the only source of population growth. This is called a self-inflicted demographic disaster.

A Pakistan Senator defended the recent incident of burying alive three teenage girls and two women in his province, saying it was part of “our tribal custom.” Still think all cultures are equal?

Right here in the USA, a Connecticut baseball team with a phenomenal 9-year-old pitcher has been disqualified because its team is too good.

Speaking of a race to the bottom, 'Cold Cash Jefferson,' the indicted legislator caught with $90K in his freezer, has decided to run for a 10th term. The John Edwards scandal hasn't affected the Breck Girl's speaking fee. In fact, he's raised his fee on next month's 'Two Americas' speech to $65,000.

From the files of higher education, Iowa Community College President Robert Paxton was paid $400,000 for his resignation when this photo surfaced of him embracing his inner self on the Fourth of July. According to newly released results, it appears SAT scores have remained at the lowest level in nearly a decade.

WEIRD NEWS:

Actor David Duchovny has voluntarily entered a rehabilitation facility for sex addiction. Guess he got caught. Here's hoping his recovery isn't too hard.

Lawyers for disgraced real-estate star, Adam Hochfelder argued that the coke addict and alcoholic must remain free on bail because he's in dire need of nasal surgery. "He's completely blown out his nose," lawyers argued. A judge slapped $1M bail on him anyway.

A British soldier's family is mourning the loss of their pet dog after a dangerous spider bit it to death. Apparently the giant arachnid was unwittingly transported back from Afghanistan in paratrooper Rodney's luggage.

A Nigerian religious leader with 86 wives has accepted an Islamic decree ordering him to divorce all but four of them. Sorry, honey.

IDIOT OF THE WEEK:

Former president Jimmy Carter wins hands down. During his speech at the Dem convention, Carter referred to Obama as "this black boy." You probably heard it here first.

Too delicious to leave out, from the just desserts file: It turns out a portable toilet wasn't the best place to hide when a thief was caught breaking into someone's car. Sometimes life is fair.
